Hidden Monuments Redux

Public Art primarily seems to be understood as monumental outdoor sculpture, this project attempts to challenge that on a number of levels. First, the work cannot exceed six inches in any one direction. Second, due to their placement they require effort to be viewed or interacted with, by way of accepted geo-caching techniques. Third, the scope of the project potentially covers the entirety of the globe instead of occupying one specific location. Finally, and perhaps most significantly, this project becomes the ultimate public art in that in allows the public to have an active role in the fate of the artwork. Six artists from central Indiana are participating in this project and were each asked to present work that addressed the theme of violence.
